It’s hard to believe 3 years have passed since the devastating earthquake that crushed Haiti in 2010. In response to the quake, Penn created the non-profit organization, J/P Haitian Relief Organization and since then has been named an-ambassador at large for Haiti. Last week, the World Bank announced they gave SP’s organization $8.75 million to help move Haitians from a golf course to permanent housing. Out of the 1.5 million Haitians that were originally displaced due to the earthquake, more than 347,000 are still without housing.
